Abstract
This Act provides for the reservation of beaches and adjoining land by the House of Assembly for the purpose of enabling fishermen to beach their boats, to dry nets, etc. In areas included in an Order of the Minister based on a Resolution of the Assembly published in the Official Gazette certain rights shall be vested in the "public". "Adjoining land" means land adjoining the foreshore of the Dominica and extending not more than twenty-five yards beyond the landward limit of the foreshore (sect. 2). Lands may be taken without compensation but shall be returned to the person "who would be entitled to it if it had not been taken". The Minister may make Regulations with respect to use of beaches by the Public (sect. 6). (7 sections completed by a Schedule containing forms)
