Abstract
This Act makes provision for the establishment of the Public Utilities Commission, defines its functions and powers and provides with respect to administration and functioning of the Commission.
The Commission shall, among other things, control public utility providers, set standards for public utility services and determine rates for such services.
The Commission is also established as public utilities tribunal for purposes of this Act. The Act sets out rules of proceedings and award of the tribunal. The Minister may exempt a public utility for the application of this Act.
