Abstract
This Act establishes the Roseau market, provides rules relative to the operation of this market and provides for the operation of slaughterhouses and detention stations (not defined), the inspection of slaughtered animals for food and for the care of animals.
The market shall be administrated by a market authority, i.e. the Dominica Export and Import Agency established under the Dominica Export and Import Agency. The Market authority may make Bye-laws relative to, among other things, the slaughter and care of animals, quality and hygiene of marketable commodities (including meat and fish) and in general to the sale of such commodities on the market.
