Abstract
This Act provides rules for the sale of produce in Dominica or for exportation of agricultural produce set out in the First Schedule. The owner of any plantation or land or any person desiring to sell or export the licensable produce derived from the plantation or land shall first obtain a produce seller's license by making an application to the Minister responsible for Agriculture. A licensed producer may: sell to a licensed produce dealer, licensed huckster or licensed pedlar licensable produce derived from the plantation or land; and (b) export licensable produce derived from the plantation or land. The Act provides for licensing of dealers, hucksters and peddlars of agricultural preoduce and for the control of their activities. Special provisions apply to the placing on the market of vanilla. Vanilla shall not to be exported unless examined and certified as fit for export. The List of licensable produce may be varied by Order of the Minister.
