Abstract
This Act provides for prohibiting or preventing unfair trade practices regarding the sale of agricultural and food products, and therefore it applies to buyers and sellers of agricultural products and food, and to the services directly related to the sale of agricultural products and food offered or provided by the buyer to the seller of agricultural products and food. The Act concerns: definition of unfair commercial practice and its prohibition; definition of agricultural product, buyer and seller, according to the provisions of the European Legislation; prohibited trade practices related to the payment deadline; prohibited trade practices related to delivery and transport of the product; conditionally prohibited unfair trade practices; administrative proceedings in case of threat of unfair commercial practice; offences and related fines; implementation provisions and compliance of contracts with the provisions of the Act.
