Abstract
This Act defines the essence of environmental supervision and establishes the functions of authorities exercising environmental supervision. Environmental supervision means the activities of the Environmental Inspectorate and a body or agency of a local authority for the purpose of preventing, identifying and combating a threat and eliminating an offence in the field of environmental protection. The Act further provides for environmental supervision authorities and their functions and environmental inspectors.
