Farm Animals Breeding Act (2018).

This Act regulates the breeding of farm animals and applies to the breeding of animals within the meaning of relevant European Union legislation, as well as to the breeding of poultry of an endangered breed. It defines terms including breed, breed name and endangered breed, establishes criteria for determining endangered breeds, and designates the competent authority. The Act also provides for the application of administrative procedure rules.
The Act establishes requirements for engaging in the breeding of farm animals, including the obligation to obtain an activity licence and to operate on the basis of an approved breeding programme. It regulates applications for activity licences and breeding programme approval, sets requirements for breeding programmes, and provides rules for approval, refusal and registration of breeding programmes. It contains provisions relating to the breeding of endangered breeds and the use of germinal products.
The Act regulates equine competitions and related notification obligations. It establishes provisions on state supervision, including powers of the competent authority to carry out inspections and to prohibit the use of germinal products under specified conditions. It also provides for reporting obligations, maintenance of registers, and enforcement measures concerning compliance with the Act.
