Abstract
This Act establishes the legal framework for the maintenance of the land cadastre as a national register. It sets out the objectives of maintaining the cadastre, the registration of cadastral units, the composition and processing of cadastral data, and the financing of the cadastre. The cadastre contains data on the boundaries, spatial extent, value, natural status and use of land and waters.
The Act defines the structure and content of the cadastre, including the cadastral register, cadastral maps and related datasets. It regulates the functions of the cadastral registrar, including the making of entries, amendment and correction of data, and the registration of restrictions and rights of use of land. It also establishes rules on data exchange between the cadastre, the land register and local governments, and on access to cadastral data and issuance of extracts.
The Act provides procedures for the formation of cadastral units, including cadastral surveys, determination of boundaries, submission and verification of survey data. It regulates the determination and registration of intended use of cadastral units and provides for the recording of land value, land cover and land use types, and restrictions on land use, as well as correction of cadastral data and related administrative procedures.
