Liquid Fuel Act (2003)

With a view to ensuring due payment of taxes and to guaranteeing the quality of the widely used motor fuels, this Act provides the principal rules and procedural provisions for the handling of liquid fuels, the obligation to register fuel tanks, the requirements for the release for consumption of biofuels for transport, the arrangements for performing state supervision and the liability for violations of this Act. The provisions of this Act apply to the production of liquid fuel without prejudice to the special rules prescribed in the Act which provides for the imposition of excise duty on the fuel. The Act further provides for release of biofuel for consumption; fuel handling; requirements for fuel and attestation of the conformity of fuel; obligation to hold relevant authorization; obligation to register fuel tanks; state supervision; and liability.
