Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture no. 46 of 2006 concerning requirements for the content of a variety certificate and a protected variety certificate.

This Regulation, made under provisions of paragraphs 22 (3) and 47 (3) of the Plant Propagation and Variety Protection Act, establishes the requirements for the content of the variety certificate and protected variety certificate. According to the Regulation, the authorised processor of the national variety register issues a variety certificate for a variety that complies with the requirements of the variety name, distinctiveness, uniformity and permanence and issues to owner of the variety the variety certificate. The Regulation also prescribes that the variety certificate include the following data: number and date of the variety registration decision, name and place of issuing the variety certificate, variety certificate number, the name of the plant species in Latin and Estonian, variety name, breeding number, information about the owner of the variety or about the breeder, validity period of variety protection only in case of a protected variety certificate.
