Abstract
This Ministerial Regulation, implementing provisions of the Plant Propagation and Variety Protection Act, establishes: the seed categories of sugar and fodder beet seed belonging to defined species, intended for the preservation of genetic resources; quality requirements, production requirements, certification procedure and classification of certified species; requirements for seed packaging and labelling requirements. Matters covered by this Regulation include: beet seed categories and their designations; beet seed production and certification requirements; certification of conservation variety seed; varietal authenticity and purity requirements; control of plant pests reducing seed quality; beet seed marketing.
