Abstract
This Regulation, implementing provisions of paragraphs 64 (5) and 65 (5) of the Plant Propagation and Variety Protection Act, establishes the requirements for the self-inspection system of the micropropagation of propagating material and seed potato plant, and the laboratory used for micropropagation. The Regulation describes the important critical points of micro-reproduction and the measures to be implemented in order to ensure self-control: receiving and determining the quality of micropropagation source material, propagation of micro-plants using the tissue culture method, data collection and storage, ensuring identification of different batches during micropropagation, packaging and transportation of micro-plants and micro-propagated propagating material. The Regulation also concerns: plant pests for ornamental crops, potato plants, fruit crops and vegetable crops; treatment of micropropagation source material and micro-plants; adaptation of micro-plants to external environmental conditions.
