Abstract
This Regulation, based on the provisions of Section 41 (6) of the Veterinary Act, provides for veterinary requirements for animal products used for food and their handling, including measures for slaughtering. The Regulation concerns: detailed requirements for animal products from African swine fever restricted zones and their handling, in accordance with Article 44 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/605, with the apposition of marks for labelling the animals; requirements for killing an animal for human consumption, including slaughtering of cattle and pigs. The appendix includes details on marks used in the labelling of animal products from deer and wild boar.
