Regulation No. 126 of 2016 of Government of the Republic of Estonia on the procedure for auctioning allowances

This Regulation approves the procedure for auctioning allowances. The Ministry of the Environment is the organizer of the auction of emission allowances. The Republic of Estonia shall use a common auction platform selected by the Member States of the European Union and the European Commission through a joint procurement procedure for the sale of emission allowances. The monitoring of auction transactions shall be performed by an auction monitor selected by the Member States of the European Union and the European Commission through a joint procurement procedure. The proceeds of the auction shall be credited to the account designated for that purpose by the Ministry of the Environment.
