Abstract
This Law amends the Agriculture Law promulgated in 1966. Art.1 stipulates that the Minister of Agriculture may prohibit the cultivation of certain crops in specific areas (that have low amounts of water, in order to rationalize water usage). Art.2 adds that the Minister can determine areas for planting certain crops without others, and may exclude the Ministry farms or other fields used for experiments and first crops. Art.101 states that any person who contravenes the provisions shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months and establishes the possible fines.
