Abstract
This Decree amends article 59 of the Ministerial Decree No. 3007 of 2001 on the Egyptian Quarantine Rules. Article 59 prohibits the import of honey bees in any form (queens – tablets – parcels ) unless authorized by the Central Administration of Agricultural Quarantine , and under certain conditions mentioned. Honey bees imported should be free from all diseases and insects and match the requirements about absences of residue. All exported bees go through quarantine for analyses and tests.
