Prime Minister Decree No. 1444 of 1998 regarding the establishment of a nature reserve in the Lake Burullus area in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate.

This Resolution consisting of 5 articles aims at establishing a nature reserve within the boundaries indicated in the area of Lake Burullus. Article 3 prohibits to carry out actions, behaviors, activities or procedures that would destroy, damage or deteriorate the natural environment, harm wildlife, marine or plant life, or affect their aesthetic level in the aforementioned protected areas (these actions are indicated in detail). The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh is responsible for supervising the appropriate arrangements for guarding the protected area (art.4).
