Prime Minister's Decree No. 271 of 2012 on the consideration of the meteorite area of Jabal Kamel in the New Valley Governorate a natural reserve.

This Resolution consisting of 5 articles aims at establishing, within the boundaries indicated, a nature reserve in the area of Jabal Kamel. Article 3 prohibits to carry out actions, behaviors, activities or procedures that would destroy, damage or deteriorate the natural environment, harm wildlife, marine or plant life, or affect their aesthetic level in the aforementioned protected areas (these actions are indicated in detail). The Governor of New Valley shall make appropriate arrangements for guarding the protected area.
