Resolution No. 2048 of 2004 regulating the exportation and importation of commodities subjected to the Agricultural Law No. 53 of 1966.

According to Agricultural Law No. 53 of 1966, and to Resolutions Nos. 47 of 1967 related to the definition of animal species, animal remains as well as the contagious diseases which necessitate the quarantine and No. 38 of 1997 regarding the requirements and measures for the adoption, circulation, importation, exportation, storage and preparation of agricultural crops seeds, this Resolution contains 6 articles dealing with the following: (a) the exportation of palm trees and ornamental plants carried out directly by the customs without the approval of the Agricultural Crops Seeds Committee; (b) the importation of animals, meat, animal products, animal remains provided for in Resolution No. 47 of 1967 carried out upon a importation licence from veterinary centres; (c) exportation of living animals and birds necessitating a previous licence from veterinary centres; (d) prohibition to issue regulating rules and regulations for the importation and exportation of any commodity subjected to the provisions provided for in the Agricultural Law No. 53 of 1966 unless otherwise regulated; and, (e) the abrogation of all provisions, rules and the like that are incompatible with this Resolution.
