Regulations to determine the requirements and standards for milk and milk products processing plants (L.N. No. 113 of 2006).

These Regulations require registration and licensing of establishments that process milk and milk products, specify infrastructure and hygienic requirements for such facilities and its staff, require the Minister to introduce an accreditation system for dairy farms, specify standards for the composition, treatment, transport and packing of milk, require processing plants to carry out internal control and provides for the appointment of milk inspectors. If the Minister is assured that requirements laid down by these Regulations are met, he or she may register and issue a certificate of qualification to a person wishing to establish a milk processing plant. The Minister may also suspend or revoke a certificate of qualification in specified circumstances.
