Ethiopian Geospatial Information Agency Re-establish the Proclamation No. 1079/2018.

This Proclamation established the Ethiopian Geospatial Information Agency as an autonomous Federal Government Office having its own legal personality. The Agency shall plan and carry out geospatial information-related activities as specified and coordinate and control the quality and standard of geospatial information activities. Geospatial information is considered a critical input required to ensure the continuance of the fast and sustainable development of Ethiopia. The Proclamation also concerns the right to carry out geospatial information-related activities and ownership of geospatial information.
