Ethiopian Health and Nutrition Research Institute Establishment Council of Ministers Regulations (No. 4/1996).

This Regulation of the Council of Ministers establishes the Ethiopian Health and Nutrition Research Institute and defines its functions and powers. The Institute shall have various functions in health research and in particular shall, among other things: undertake research on ways of preventing diseases due to malnutrition and nutritional deficiencies, as well as nutritional improvements at family level; conduct nutritionals science and technology research on food items in collaboration with other necessary bodies within the country; cooperate with concerned organizations and undertake all possible efforts for the conservation and protection of plants which serve as traditional drugs, and other medical antiques from extinction.
