Ethiopian Meat and Dairy Technology Institute Establishment Council of Ministers Regulation (No. 143/2008).

This Regulation establishes the Ethiopian Meat and Dairy Technology Institute as an autonomous federal government agency, defines its objectives, functions and powers and provides with respect to its administration. The Institute shall have as objectives: to build the capacity of those engaged in the production and supply of meat and dairy products: and to ensure that quality standards are maintained in the production and supply of meat and dairy products. The Institute shall, among other things, establish a laboratory and provide sample analysis and quality assurance services, at a national level, relating to meat and dairy products and livestock inputs. The Institute shall have a Board and a Director General, who shall be the chief executive officer of the Institute.
