Forestry Enterprise Establishment, Council of Regional Government Regulation No 70/2009.

This Regulation of the Executive Council of the Amhara Regional Government establishes the Amhara National Regional State Forestry Enterprise and defines its objectives, powers and organizational structure. The Enterprise shall be responsible for development of the forestry sector and, in particular, shall, among other things, carry out afforestation for production purposes, develop the timber industry, carry out business activities by producing wild-gum, incense, biofuel and essential oil, take over and manage forest lands, encourage the development of forestry activities by farmers and other persons, and carry out activities in relation with ecotourism.
