Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Construction Public Support Mobilizing and Coordinating Council of the Amhara National Regional State Establishment, Council of the Regional Government Regulation No 82/2011.

This Regulation of the Council of the Amhara National Regional Government establishes the Public Support mobilizing and Coordinating Council ("the Council”) for the Project of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, in the Amhara National Regional State. The Council shall primarily create suitable conditions enabling the strengthened continuance of the multidimensional participation to be availed by the overall populace inhabiting in the region, be it in rural or urban areas, for the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. It shall also encourage the activities of the natural resource development and preservation, in the basin and shall take decisions on concrete proposals for activities proposed by its executive committee. The Council shall have subordinate organizational setups compatible with the hierarchy pertaining to Zonal and Nationality, Woreda, Urban and Kebele administrations in the region.
