National Anthrax Prevention and Control Strategic Plan 2018 – 2030.

The goal of the National Anthrax Prevention and Control Strategic Plan 2018 – 2030 is to prevent and control anthrax in human and animals in Ethiopia. The general objectives of the Strategic Plan are: 1) Strengthen sectoral and multi-sectoral anthrax surveillance systems for effective preparedness and response; 2) Improve laboratory capacity for anthrax diagnosis at national and regional level; 3) Sustain inter-sectoral collaboration among all stakeholders; 4) Undertake anthrax prevention and control activities; 5) Enhance prevention capacity in terms of trained personnel and community awareness; 6) Generate scientific evidence to inform decision and policy changes on anthrax prevention and control.
