Abstract
The Quality and Standards Authority is re-established as an autonomous Federal Government Organ that shall be accountable to the Prime Minister. Its objectives shall be to assist and promote in the establishment of quality management practices and to issue standards. The Authority shall carry out duties as specified in article 6. The Authority shall be managed by a Board and shall have a General Manager. The Authority shall establish a national Conformity Assessment System, i.e. a method of determining directly or indirectly if relevant requirements are met. (19 articles)
