Raw Hides and Skins Marketing (Amendment) Proclamation No. 1073/2018.

This Proclamation amends the Proclamation to provide for Raw Hide and Skin Marketing by adding new articles 12 and 13 on obligations of Raw Hides and Skins Collectors and obligations of Traditional Raw Hide and Skin Tanners. It also makes consequential amendments. Common obligations are work, prepare and administer in a manner not to pollute the environment according to other laws set for environmental protection; refrain from any activity which may ruin the country’s raw hides and skins quality and market; and respect the provisions of this Proclamation, Regulation and Directives issued hereunder. A collector of raw hides and skins shall, among other things, buy fresh raw hides and skins only from individual producers, and collect raw hides and skins with maintaining its quality. Traditional Raw Hide and Skin Tanners shall, among other things, have trade license from appropriate organ, buy raw hides and skins only from producers or from collectors, and make daily recordings of transactions.
