Regulation No.253/2011 Rift Valley Lakes Basin.

This Regulation provides for establishment of the Rift Valley Lakes Basin High Council. The Authority's primary objectives are to promote and oversee the equitable and participatory implementation of integrated water resources management within the Rift Valley Lakes Basin. The Authority is tasked with preparing the basin's plan, submitting it to the High Council, and monitoring its implementation. The kwy responsibilities include advising the High Council on policies for enabling integrated water management, ensuring the alignment of water-related projects and activities with basin management goals, and facilitating the coordinated execution of these management processes. The Regulation consists of 8 Articles and provides for the establishment of the Council, the High Council, objectives of authority, head office and powers and duties.
