Abstract
This Proclamation shall be applicable to regulatory activities in respect of veterinary drugs, feed and veterinary drug professionals. Part 2 concerns veterinary drug administration and control: it establishes registration requiremnts, quality standards requirements; packaging and labelling requirments; it authorizes the Authority to carry out post marketing surveillance and Pre-Clinical and Clinical Test; prescription and dispensing conditions of Veterinary Drugs distinguishing between traditional and non traditional drugs and practitioners; Veterinary Biological Products; veterinary drug trade and traditional and Complimentary or Alternative Veterinary Drugs.
Part 3 is on feed administration and control; the Part establishes quality standards and a control system to ensure that no feed or feed additive may be put into use unless it is ascertained by the appropriate organ that it complies with the quality standards issued or adopted by the competent organ. Furthermore it provides for packaging, labelling and record keeping requirements. It also provides for feed trade, import and export. Part 5 regulates power and duties of the Authority (Veterinary Drug and Feed Administration and Control Authority).
