The Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters concerns the provisional application of the Agreement amending the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Government of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe on fishing off São Tomé and Principe, signed at Brussels on 1 February 1984, with effect from 1 June 1987. The Government of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe has the honour to inform the Community that is prepared to apply this Agreement on a provisional basis, with effect from 1 June 1987, until its entry into force in accordance, provided that the European Economic Community is willing to do the same. The European Economic Community has the honour to confirm this provisional application of the Agreement.
