Abstract
This Regulation amends Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1881/2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs. In particular, it replaces the text in article 9, which concerns the monitoring and reporting of nitrate levels in vegetables which may contain significant levels, in particular green leafy vegetables. Member States and professional stakeholder organizations are strongly recommended to monitor the presence of ergot alkaloids in cereals and cereal products.
