Commission Decision 2003/14/EC amending Decision 2001/783/EC as regards the bluetongue protection and surveillance zones and conditions for movements of animals for immediate slaughter.

This Decision lays down some amendments to Decision 2001/783/EC relative to bluetongue protection. Since the fourth indent of article 2 of the Decision aforesaid is hereby deleted, the dispatch and transit of live animals of species susceptible to bluetongue (and their sperm, ova and embryos) shall not be forbidden any longer from or through the territory corresponding to the administrative units listed in Annex I D to the same Decision. Article 5 (a), which regards the circumstances under which movements of live animals may be authorized by the competent authorities of Member States, is replaced by article 1 (2) hereto. Annex I to Decision 2001/783/EC is replaced by the text in the Annex to the present Decision.
