Abstract
In the light of the particular risk of introduction of avian influenza into Italy, the present Decision provides for vaccination in the areas at higher risk of disease introduction. Furthermore, an intensive monitoring and surveillance is to be performed both in the vaccination area and in its surroundings. Articles 3 to 9 establish the rules under which the restrictions on movements of live poultry, hatching eggs, day-old chicks and fresh meat of poultry into, out of and within the vaccination area and from holdings located in a restriction zone shall apply.
