This Decision lays down the sectoral reference document (SRD) on best environmental management practices, sector environmental performance indicators and benchmarks of excellence for the public administration sector for the purposes of Regulation (EC) No. 1221/2009. The latter concerns the voluntary participation by organizations in a Community eco- management and audit scheme (EMAS).The SRD encompasses environmental aspects related to energy consumption, greenhouse emissions, emissions to air, emissions to water, noise generation, solid waste generation, land use and biodiversity loss.
