Abstract
This Regulation establishes the technical screening criteria for determining the conditions under which an economic activity qualifies as contributing substantially to climate change mitigation and adaptation and for determining whether that economic activity causes no significant harm to any of the other environmental objectives laid down in Regulation (EU) 2020/852 on the establishment of a framework to facilitate sustainable investment. Annexes I and II to this Regulation set out the technical screening criteria for determining the conditions for the activities in the fields of forestry, environmental protection and restoration, energy, water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation, information and communication, human health and professional, scientific and technical areas to assess their substantial contribution to climate change adaptation or mitigation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union and shall apply from 1 January 2022.
