Commission Directive 2001/59/EC adapting to technical progress for the 28th time Council Directive 67/548/EEC on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions relating to the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances.

This Directive updates to technical progress certain provisions in Directive 67/548/EEC concerning the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances. The amendments concern in particular the following: 1) Tables A and B of Annex I, which contains a list of dangerous substances, together with particulars of the classification and labelling of each substance; 2) Annexes II, III, IV and VI which are replaced in order to include the Swedish and Finnish versions and technical corrections to certain language versions; 3) Annex V, which lays down the methods for the determination of the physicochemical properties, toxicity and ecotoxicity of substances and preparations.
