Commission Directive 96/54/EC adapting to technical progress for the twenty-second time Council Directive 67/548/EEC on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions relating to the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances.

This Directive updates the provisions under Directive 67/548/EC concerning the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances. In particular it adapts in the light of scientific and technical knowledge Annex I, which lays down a list of dangerous substances, their classification, labelling and where appropriate, their characterization by concentration limits and other parameters enabling their risk to human health and the environment to be assessed.
