Commission Implementing Decision 2014/909/EU concerning certain protective measures with regard to confirmed occurrences of the small hive beetle in Italy.

This Decision lays down the protective measures to be taken by Italy following the confirmed occurrences of the small hive beetle (Aethina tumida) in honey bees (Apis mellifera), in the areas listed in the Annex. These measures encompass a ban on the dispatch of consignments of certain commodities (honey bees, bumble bees, unprocessed apiculture by-products, beekeeping equipment and comb honey intended for human consumption) and the carrying out of immediate inspections and epidemiological investigations.
