Abstract
This Decision makes amendments regarding the content and application period of work plans and the content and deadline for the submission of annual reports. The Annex to this Decision sets out the format of the national work plans for data collection, in accordance with the multiannual Union programme for the collection, management and use of data in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors (‘EU MAP’) established by Commission Delegated Decision (EU) 2021/1167 and Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1168. The first national work plans shall cover a period of minimum 3 years and maximum 6 years, starting on 1 January 2022 and ending, at the latest, on 31 December 2027. The application period of any successive national work plans shall end, at the latest, on 31 December 2027. The Member States shall submit the annual reports concerning the implementation of data collection work plans in the previous calendar year, by 31 May of each year.
