Abstract
This Regulation sets out measures to prevent the establishment and spread within the Union territory of Pomacea (Perry) and measures for its eradication. It lays down rules on annual risk-based surveys for the presence of the specified pest of Union territory; establishment of demarcated areas where the presence of the specified pest is officially confirmed; derogation from establishing demarcated areas; eradication measures; annual surveys in demarcated areas; the conditions for lifting demarcation; and reporting obligations.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union and shall apply from 26 January 2025.
