Abstract
The present Regulation lays down detailed provisions for the application of Regulation (EU) No. 228/2013, which sets out specific measures for agriculture to mitigate the difficulties caused by extreme remoteness, specifically remoteness, isolation, small surface areas, terrain, difficult climate and economic dependence on a limited number of products of the outermost regions of the European Union, referred to in article 349 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. The implementing provisions hereby laid down concern specific supply arrangements, issue of aid certificates, entry of operators into a special Register, measures to support local agricultural products and aid payments.
