Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 836/2014 amending Regulation (EC) No. 889/2008 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 on organic production and labelling of organic products with regard to organic production, labelling and control.

This Regulation amends article 42 of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 889/2008, which allows exceptionally, until 31 December 2014, under certain conditions and when organically reared pullets are not available, for non-organically reared pullets for egg production of not more than 18 weeks to be brought into an organic livestock unit. This derogation is hereby extended until 31 December 2017. Further the Regulation stipulates that the maximum percentage of non-organic protein feed authorized per period of 12 months for those species shall be five percent for calendar years 2015, 2016 and 2017.
