Commission Recommendation 2004/163/EC on the coordinated inspection programme in the field of animal nutrition for the year 2004 in accordance with Council Directive 95/53/EC.

Pursuant to Directive 95/53/EC, which lays down principles applicable to inspections in the animal nutrition sector, the Commission hereby recommends Member States to carry out during 2004 a coordinated inspection programme in order to check (i) the concentration of mycotoxins in feedingstuffs, (ii) particular medicinal substances, (iii) the implementation of restrictions on the production and use of feed materials of animal origin (Annex III), and (iv) the procedures applied by manufacturers of compound feedingstuffs to select and assess their supplies of feed materials of industrial origin.
