Abstract
The present Regulation lays down the animal health requirements which shall be applied to the movement of circus animals between Member States, by way of derogation from Chapter II of Directive 92/65/EEC laying down animal health requirements governing trade in and imports into the Community of animals, semen, ova and embryos. For the purposes of this Regulation, “circus” is defined as a travelling exhibition or fair that includes one or more animals. A circus may move to another Member State as long as it is registered in accordance with article 4 and the conditions precribed by articles 8 to 10 are complied with.
