Commission Regulation (EC) No. 256/2002 concerning the provisional authorization of new additives, the prolongation of provisional authorization of an additive and the permanent authorization of an additive in feedingstuffs.

The present Regulation is composed of four articles and three Annexes relative to the use of certain additives in animal nutrition. Firstly, the additives belonging to the group “binders, anti-caking agents and coagulants” listed in Annex I are authorized under the conditions established therein. Secondly, the provisional authorization of the preparation belonging to the group “microorganisms” listed in Annex II is extended under the conditions laid down in the same Annex. Thirdly, the preparation belonging to the group “microorganisms” listed in Annex III is authorized without a time limit for use as additive in animal nutrition under the conditions prescribed therein.
