Commission Regulation (EC) No. 710/2009 amending Regulation (EC) No. 889/2008 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007, as regards laying down detailed rules on organic aquaculture animal and seaweed production.

These provisions lay down some amendments and addenda to Commission Regulation (EC) No. 889/2008, which implements Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 on organic production and labelling of organic products with regard to organic production, labelling and control. In particular, it adds Chapter 1a in Title II. This new Chapter sets out detailed rules on seaweed collection and farming. It also adds Chapter 2a, which regulates aquaculture animal production, giving particular regard to production rules for species of fish, crustaceans, echinoderms and molluscs, as well as zooplankton, microcrustaceans, rotifers, worms and other aquatic feed animals.
