Abstract
This Regulation has been enacted with a view to providing essential clarifications of the principles laid down in Regulation (EEC) No. 1576/89 as well as supplementary rules. For instance, article 1 fixes the quantity of lees that may be added to grape marc in the preparation of grape marc spirit. Article 2 concerns the maximum quantity of certain substances that may be added to spirit drinks. Articles 3 and 4 regard the designation of spirit drinks.
