Abstract
The Convention on the conservation of European wildlife and natural habitats is hereby approved on behalf of the European Economic Community. The Convention, which makes provision on the conservation of wildlife, is composed of 24 articles which are divided into nine Chapters, as follows: (I) General provisions; (II) Protection of habitats; (III) Protection of species; (IV) Special provisions for migratory species; (V) Supplementary provisions; (VI) Standing Committee; (VII) Amendments; (VIII) Settlement of disputes; (IX) Final provisions. Moreover, the following Appendices are attached: (I) Strictly protected flora species; (II) Strictly protected fauna species; (III) Protected fauna species; (IV) Prohibited means and methods of killing, capture and other forms of exploitation.
