Abstract
The Council of the European Community hereby approves the Protocol defining for the period 1 January 2004 to 31 December 2006 the Tuna fishing opportunities and the financial contribution provided for in the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the Democratic Republic of Madagascar on fishing off Madagascar. Furthermore, it provides for the allocation among the Member States of the fishing opportunities provided for in the same Protocol. In case applications from the Member States mentioned in article 2 do not cover all the fishing opportunities, the Commission may take into account licence applications from any other Member State.
